Show Us Your Type London

This is a collaboration project with Errol Donald, Isabelle Mattern and Sukmin Ji while I was doing a volunteer internship with Show Us Your Type and Letter Exchange.

We worked with other members of Letter Exchange, the team from Show Us Your Type to create six large-scale letters on canvass banners to spell the word London. The aim was to see how the more traditional lettering arts combined with graffiti art. We wanted to explore the similarities and try new approaches but above all, promote the merits of the hand-drawn letterform.

Isabelle Mattern, Sukmin Ji and I designed one of the Ns in LONDON. With Errol’s guidance we transferred our sketch to the canvass and experimented with different spray can techniques.
