Use expressive typography to re-present a live event, and make a useful guide for others.

The event I chose to work with is ” Light Show” in Southbank Centre. The one I like most is David Batchlor’s “Magic Hour”. I was attracted to its rich colours. When you stand in front of it, you can see the back of a pile of light boxes. Those rich neon colours shining from the boxes and reflecting on the wall. That’s the most tricky and smart part. The artist himself said he wanted to achieve the feeling of the mix of twilight, artificial lights and buildings in the city. Quot from the exhibition booklet:” Dusk in Las Vegas, when the sun goes down and the light’s come up, is 'magic hour'. The extraordinary spectacle that colours the twilight sky above the city of artificial lights gives its name to David Batchelor’s stack a halo of multicoloured luminance.
