Goldfish Memory

It is said that fish only have 7 seconds memory. The boy in the story has a very limited memory ability. Every time he wakes up, he finds it’s a new world. He tries his best to find every piece of himself, but always end up with a blank. (Turning into a goldfish symbolizes amnesia.) Is it an endless suffering or a self liberation for him?
